Sometimes its good to try something different. Son of Rogues Gallery is one of those things, and it's been sitting around on the shelf long enough, I think you should at least give it a spin.
I think this project has been around awhile, obviously way back in the mid-2000's when pirates were trendy. But, considering the time it would take to get the variety of musicians on to sign on, it's no wonder this is out just recently. Probably, there's a band on this disc you know, but I think the highlight above all is the duet of Keith Richards and Tom Waits on a gritty rendition of Shenandoah (see below).
