Summer Reading: A Smash Hit!

Music was in the air all summer long.

We applaud the over 500 adults and 2000 children and teens who signed up.

For the second year in a row, our patrons were fortunate to be able to connect with local businesses and take advantage of their special offers.

We sincerely thank these businesses for their continued support of our library and we encourage you to thank them when you visit their establishments.

The New Borrow Page

Hopefully you've noticed our new Borrow page on the website.
We consolidated all of your library borrowing activities into one location. Whether you wanted to search the catalog, stream a movie, checkout an eBook, or download your favorite latest eMagazine issue, just bookmark www.tplibrary.org/borrow.
And in case you missed it, we now have a streaming movie service called Hoopla! But it's more than just movies, there's also all the latest music every week from major record labels, Audiobooks, Television shows, Comics, and eBooks. All for free, with your library card.

Pardon Our Dust ...AND Pollen!

As part of our restoration plans for the Tinley Park Public Library prairie and wetland, select areas are being cleared of invasive vegetation. Once these sites are prepared, native plants and seed will be installed in order to re-establish the natural ecosystems. Please pardon our appearance during this restoration process, as it can take 2-3 years for vegetation to fully establish. During this time, the new native plants will be stewarded by a team of professionals who specialize in ecological restoration.
