Try-It! Illinois

Once again we are offering you an opportunity to explore all kinds of new information sources, most of which you cannot normally access freely online. Through November 30, we encourage you to try any number of these databases through the annual Try-It! Illinois program run by the Illinois State Library. There's a database for everyone and every interest. We encourage you to "comparison shop," and let us know what you think, as your opinions do influence our own annual database subscription decisions.

  • Collections run from Friday, November 22 through Sunday, December 15.

    SWAN URLs Have Changed

    You may be one of the many people who use your home computer or mobile device to visit one of the online SWAN catalogs to search for library materials, place holds, renew items, pay fines, etc. The website addresses (URLs) have recently changed for SWAN’s classic catalog, as well as SWAN’s alternative catalog which offers more bells and whistles, called Encore.     World War Z Film Screening and Panel Discussion

    Saturday, October 26 at 1:00pm (Film); discussion begins 3:00pm.

    Join us for a special screening of the movie World War Z, rated PG-13, 116 minutes, at 1:00pm and stay for a discussion about this fascinating genre. Faculty members from Moraine Valley Community College have generously agreed to bring their insight to our library.
