Circulation Clerk – Part Time
Job Description:
The Tinley Park Public Library is looking for a friendly, energetic, hard-working team player to join our Circulation Services Department. The ideal candidate will have a welcoming personality, excellent customer service skills, the ability to communicate well with patrons and staff, learn and comfortably perform patron transactions using various computer software, prioritize, multitask, and pay attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Staff the Checkout Desk
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service to our patrons both in person and on the phone
- Check materials in and out using automated circulation software
- Issue library cards, collect fines
- Empty book drops
- Register patrons for library programs and events
- Other duties as assigned
Job Hours:
Part-time position with fixed working hours as follows:
- Thursday 5–9 pm
- Friday 5–9 pm
- Weekend rotation of two (2) Saturdays and one (1) Sunday per month
- Saturday 8:30 am–5 pm
- Sunday 11:30 am–5 pm

Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two years of prior work experience
- Strong computer and customer service skills
- Library experience preferred
Pay Range:
$16.19–17.20 per hour
