Speaker Bio: Clarence Goodman
Clarence Goodman has been all over the place and all over the map, but as a master storyteller, wherever he goes, Clarence loves to share the nuanced history of his beloved hometown, Chicago!
Self-styled musician/historian/artist Clarence Goodman is a Chicago native who has explored every corner of the Windy City and its amazing history. Originally planning on a life as a teacher, college found him dropping out for a while to pursue music as a profession, which lead to other paths...and other paths and still other paths. Though his body was elsewhere, his spirit was still in Chicagoland, and his love for his hometown and eventual return to it have proven to be a blessing by way of an "accidental" career. This began quite innocently when the director of a retirement community asked him if he knew of anyone who could come in and speak to the residents about Chicago History. The rest, as they say, is indeed history.
